Red Wines
Materno
A 100% Merlot, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, barriques, and tonneaux, followed by a further 24 months of bottle aging. The color is intense ruby red, with a bouquet of blackberry, cherry, and licorice. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with thick, evolving tannins. Perfect with red meats, roasts, boiled meats, game, and aged cheeses. Also excellent with porcini mushroom risotto.

- Aging: For a minimum of 24 months in French oak barrels (15 hL), 225 L barriques, and 500 L tonneaux. Followed by a further minimum of 18 months of bottle aging

Training System: Guyot 200 cm row width and 80 cm plant spacing
Vinification: the grapes, after gentle destemming, are left at 0/5°C for several days for cold soaking. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with maceration for at least 20 days at a controlled temperature.
